The Lab-on-line solution rolled out during June with 181 students participating in a Computer-Lab at one of our leading tertiary institutions. The results of the students and the impact on their academics surpassed our projections and the application of our solutions kept on escalating.

Development of the first intervention motor

Ecoltech developed and produced the first Afrikaans computerized reading intervention program.“Ene oë” launched in 1992. The English version “All eyes” and “Ene oë”, a DOS based program, rolled out simultaneously.

Average Improvement on measurable outcomes within LAB for the 2016 academic year. On average there is a six year grade level improvement in relative reading skills, a 8% increase in comprehension outcomes and students were able to read 94 words per minute faster at completion of the course. On average there is a seven year grade level improvement in relative reading skills, a 8% increase in comprehension outcomes and students were able to read 102 words per minute faster at completion of the course. 2014

Relative Reading Efficiency is measured by assessing silent fluency reading speed and comprehension against international norms and standards. This results was obtained from students using the LAB-on-line virtual reading lab to improve their reading skills. Course duration 3 – 9 months during the year 2014. Single Image
